My Journey
Education & Experience
My journey has included pursuing the goal of working among individuals experiencing substance use and addiction challenges whereas I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services with an emphasis in social work from the University of Phoenix and subsequently earned a Master of Arts in Psychology in Marriage & Family Therapy from Brandman University. My educational and professional development have afforded me the venture of supporting a vast array of clientele and extends from treatment in sober living homes, veterans experiencing addiction and homelessness to engagement in three innovative programs at Stanislaus County Full-Service Partnership, Women’s Youth and Family Services, and Valley Star Adult Full-Service Partnership programs. Also, I demonstrate experience working with children and young adults as a school-based counselor. One of my utmost vocations and passions has been the opportunity to provide an alternative for individuals experiencing severe psychiatric or intense emotional distress who might have otherwise faced voluntary or involuntary hospitalization or incarceration at a crisis residential treatment setting. Furthermore, I have served a high-risk and under-served aging and adult population through a San Bernardino County agency.
